This published writer used to explore the globe and represent Canadian travel magazines. She has kissed giraffes in Nairobi, climbed mountains in the isolated Torngat Mountains in Labrador beside Margaret Atwood, done wine tours along the Amalfi Coast in Italy, kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland, and almost gotten eaten by a hippo in Tsavo East National Park in Kenya.

Her life has somewhat settled down, but she is still always reading, writing, and trying to find her next big thing after becoming chronically ill and unable to constantly travel in 2016. She enjoys spending a lot of her time advocating for social justice, feminism and equality, chronic illness and disability, while also volunteering for her local dog rescue. She has collaborated with Lanark County Interval House, Elizabeth Fry Society, Hospice Care Ottawa, Maple Hope Foundation, Dress for Success Ottawa, Kidney 4 Craig, Project Tembo and more.

She's currently searching for her perfect literary agent with a passion for working with marginalized authors with diverse stories and characters. Her first book is a mystery suspense thriller that takes place in a small town in the Northern Rockies following a witty disabled detective named Jane Beckett. Her second novel is an adventurous tale of a young, Lupus-survivor named Maya who leads a small community outside of Boston while they try to survive the apocalypse and the unseen man-eating creatures that took down the world.

She was the managing editor of Ottawa student magazine Glue and has bylines in British Columbia magazine, Canadian Traveller magazine, Pacific Yachting, explore magazine, Glue magazine, the Algonquin Times and Kanata-Kourier Standard for Metroland media.
